I did a thing, again….

So, in an attempt to find something to ?ground myself or something like that, I have jumped back into reading. Well, I don’t know if I ever really stopped reading after I read through the Iron Widow, well, maybe even before that book. I have been installing app after app on my phone reading story after story on these apps then getting rid of most of them once their trials have ended or I get bored of the stories. I have stuck to a couple apps and have been reading some illustrated stories as well as other novel-like stories over at least 2 years now.

But, with wanting to get into journaling more seriously after starting this website and following YouTube creators that journal and making some rather feeble attempts at journaling over the past year, I have stumbled onto something that I hope will help me follow through with the plans that bounce around in my head (and I reluctantly pull out my phone or sit at my computer and write out drafts of posts but end up not following through to post them, which is another item on my ever-growing list of things I hope to change). I have come across book tubers and many people who journal about the books they have read. I want to be like that and more. I am hopeful to review some of the works I plan to read and post the reviews here. Maybe add some stats as to when I read them or how long it takes for me to get through them. Potentially sharing my journal too as my journal will probably be where I initially put down all of this information.

This may also help my use of some of the stationary supplies that I have been accumulating and inadvertently hoarding. I definitely had/have the intention to use everything, I just lack the follow through. But, I guess the same can be said for many people in the same situations. There has been a mental block or hesitation that has been preventing me from just doing what I want to do and I plan to hold myself accountable and change that. Anyway, I have been on a journal and fountain pen kick for the past year, collecting journals, stamps, washi tape, pens, inks, refill supplies, and more and I really need to put all of it to use. Maybe one day I will share pictures and more showing my collection.

Here is a little sneak peak I guess. It is one of my most recent orders I have received from my go-to online stationary stores Jetpens

Back to the topic at hand, I just finished a book that helped to remind me how much I enjoy reading. It was tough to get through some parts as it touches on sensitive topics that I have experienced personally. The book has gotten me thinking, and has me motivated to share, as I cannot have my husband as the sounding board for absolutely everything. So, I want to strike while the iron is hot, and use this new drive to write up a review of this book and have it posted soon.
