I am very very lucky to have a partner that cooks and is quite an impressive cook to say the least. He appreciates when I make an attempt but with all our time together, I have only cooked one meal and it was pretty dismal.

But, if I could make food well, I would not choose to make normal meals. I would choose to make desserts. I love sweets and would absolutely eat only sweets if there were not negative consequences with eating only sweets like deteriorating health and weight gain, etc.
The best sweets I have had and I do not think I could get sick of would be Japanese cakes and pastries. They are so light and delicious, not overly sweet but just enough to satisfy. I should work on my baking skills. I used to bake but, in the last 10 years, I have not been able to make anything that I would consider very good.
What kind of things would make?
